Welcome wizard
The welcome wizard lines up the first setup for a parish. It opens the first time a Church Admin signs in when the parish still has no logo, no facilities, no other people, and no parishioners. A parish that already has those records opens on Home. Parish setup on Home opens the same wizard whenever you want to walk through it again. Use it when the parish is getting ready to bring Communion to people who cannot come to church.
Steps
- Church settings — who is told when a parishioner is added, and which controls change that. Open the guide before you rely on the one-line note under each field.
- Email and branding — parish logo and the invitation and new-request emails. Uploading a logo marks the step ready. Keeping the standard emails is fine.
- Facilities — care facilities, the team, visit days, units, and residents. The step is ready when at least one facility is on file.
- Users — invite volunteers, clergy, and other Church Admins. The step is ready when someone else is on the parish or a pending invitation is out.
- Parishioners — homebound records and preferred visit times. The step is ready when at least one parishioner is on file.
Each step has Open for the page and Help for that guide. Skip for now leaves the step without blocking the rest. Next and Back move through the list. You can also pick a step on the left.
Leaving and coming back
While setup is open, a parish setup bar sits at the top of the other pages, with Back to wizard. Finish later returns to Home and leaves a banner so you can continue. The wizard does not open by itself on the next sign-in after that. Finish setup clears the banner. Skip setup does the same, and Parish setup on Home can still open the wizard.
Clergy do not get the wizard. They can review church settings and email, and they can manage parishioners, facilities, and reports.
